    Maritime Cargo Processing plc (MCP) was formed in 1985 principally to manage and market the FCP80 application implemented in 1984. During its history MCP grew FCP80 (latterly known as FCPS) to be the preeminent UK port community system and then successfully replaced FCPS with a browser based application called Destin8 in 2007.

    A timeline of MCP achievements. In 1981 The FCP80 project started. In 1984 FCP80 was implemented as a complete Port Community System and ISL messaging was introduced. In 1985 Maritime Cargo Processing (MCP) was founded and became a PLC. In 1990 FCP80 community becomes FCPS. In 1997 EDIFACT messaging was introduced. In 2006 Destin8 user test system goes live. In 2007 Destin8 was successfully implemented. In 2016 VGM facilitation was introduced to Destin8. In 2021 GVMS integration and EXS via COPARN facilitation was implemented in Destin8.
